The album Late Spring has now been out in the world for a lap around the sun. As the title suggests, the soundscapes were captured in the spring, during warmer days amongst the new blooms that mark winter’s end. Tracks five and six were recorded during a thunderstorm in Takayna/Tarkine; the rain bringing renewal and new growth amongst the ferns and soft mosses. Field recordings are captured with an ambisonic microphone to include the quiet sounds of raindrops amongst the forest and wind through trees. It has been such a joy to release these moments of quiet listening, thank you for sharing a moment with the sounds.
